Work

F-vector is an force vector acting on a system.
s-vector (or r-vector) is the displacement vector of the system.

A:
A constant force F is acting in the same direction as the displacement vector s.
The work W is the product of F and s.

B:
A constant force is acting in another direction than the displacement vector s
The work W is the scalar product of F and s.

C:
A variable force F is acting in different directions.
The work W is the integral of the produkt of F-vector and ds-vector.

D:
A variable foce F is acting while the system is moving along a curve in 2D or 3D.
r is the vector from origin (start point) to the system moving.
The work W is the integral of the product of F-vector and dr-vektor.
