Differentiation In the simulation window you see the graph of a given function f (black color). In addition you see three new graphs (color red, blue and green). Decide which one of these last three graphs (red, blue or green) that is the graph of the derivative of the function f. Mark the right radiobutton. Then click the pushbutton 'Confirm' to control the result. Click the pushbutton 'Next' to generate a new random exercise. If you need a bit help, you can mark the checkbox 'Tangent' to see the tangent at different points of the original function. In addition you can place the graph point at a given position by using the data field 'x ='. Let f1 be the function represented by the black graph. Let f2 be the function that has it's red graph represented as it's derivative, in the case that the red graph is not the derivative of the black graph. If the red graph is not the derivative, both f1 and f2 are shown. If your answer is 'no' and the red graph is the derivative of the black graph, then f1 is shown. Anyway, f1 will always be shown when you click 'Confirm'. Follow this link if you need some more understanding of the construction of a derivate of a given function. This application will generate an unlimited number of exercises. More digital assessment |
