We select a serie of a random card from 52 cards. If the last current card is unlike from all the previous selected cards, we keep the current card. Question: How many times do we have to select a card until we have a new complete 52-card set? This application simulates the card selection. To the right in the control window we see the 52 cards (01,02,03,...,52). Each time we keep a new card, the associated checkox is marked. At the same time the diagram in the simulation window is updated. Three different speeds can be selected: 1 per sec, 50 per sec, 100 per sec (default). Click 'Run' to start the simulation. Control objects: Stop after each turn: Stop every time a new complete 52-card set is found nTrial : Number of trials with complete 52-card set nCurrent : Current number of trials to find a complete 52-card set nAverage : Average number of trials to find a complete 52-card set nStd : Standard deviation nFound : Current number of trials to find a complete 52-card set Scale : Changing scale in the diagram SimReal |
