A quantum particle electron has two possible spin states independent of the measurement direction:
- Up (indicated by +)
- Down (indicated by -)
In the three axis directions we therefor have 6 different spin states: x+, x-, y+, y-, z+, z-.
It can be shown that all these 6 different spin states can be described by linear combinations of the two states z+ and z-.
In the simulation window we have a spinning quantum particle (default spin state: y-).
Use the radiobuttons to visualize the 6 different spin states.
Mark the checkbox 'Rotation' to see the spinning of the particle.
